Chapter 9 Uriel the Wizard, Devouring
Chapter 9 Uriel the Wizard, Devouring
"The Uriel Gathering is a large gathering, just like the Esmond Gathering. Once the Wizard of Uriel takes over the Esmond Gathering, the Uriel Gathering will instantly become the largest gathering in the Tower of Dawn."
No matter how eloquently Sono boasted, Leo instantly lost interest upon hearing that Ryan was at the gathering.
If Ryan really becomes the teaching assistant for his own gathering, how could he possibly have a good outcome with Leo?
Leo deliberately asked, "And what's the benefit?"
"Benefits?" Sono asked, looking puzzled. "Isn't it enough to build a good relationship with a mentor?"
Leo pursed his lips and said, "Then I'm not interested."
Leo pushed Sono out.
With the strength of a Prosman, Leo easily pushed Sono outside the door.
"Wait a minute." Seeing Leo about to close the door, Sono quickly said, "There's a benefit! If we can get Instructor Uriel to take over the Esmond Gathering, Instructor Uriel will give each of us 1000 magic stones."
Upon hearing this, Leo couldn't help but be surprised by the wealth and power of his mentor, Uriel.
Of course, it cannot be ruled out that Professor Uriel is just making empty promises.
However, even Leo was tempted by the 1000 magic stones that were offered.
However, remembering Ryan's situation, Leo said, "Sorry, I'm not interested."
"You..." Sono was about to say something when suddenly a breeze swept through the door, and with a bang, the door slammed shut. He looked at Leo, who was unyielding and refused to listen to reason, and was somewhat speechless: "These Pros people only have brute strength. How come they are so stupid when they need to assess the situation?"
Sono couldn't understand why anyone would refuse such a good offer.
The Esmond Gathering is now leaderless and needs other mentors to take over.
And if they help take over the Esmond Assembly mentors in the future, then it will be a great service to the dragon, and they will reap all kinds of benefits.
Putting everything else aside, these thousand magic stones alone are an enormous benefit.
Becoming a wizard within three months will only earn you a scholarship of two thousand magic stones.
You can get a thousand magic stones just by speaking out in support of Uriel.
Anyone would know how to make this choice.
Sono thought Leo was really ungrateful. He shook his head at the door and then left.
After Leo closed the door, he pondered for a moment what Sono had said.
"It will probably be quite difficult for this wizard gathering mentor named Uriel to obtain the Esmond Gathering's approval; otherwise, he wouldn't have sent a nobody like Sono as an envoy."
"It's absolutely impossible for me to have a meeting with Ryan."
"But if we just let Sono push this forward, even if the chances are slim, what if it actually succeeds?"
After a moment, Leo opened the door, and after confirming that Sono had left, he left the room.
Leo arrived at his mentor's office.
"Lady Sally, I am Danville."
"Come in."
Sally was the only one in the tutor's office.
Sally, buried in her stack of documents, didn't even look up. She said, "Danville, did you call me because you have questions about training with the Magic Hand?"
"No, Lady Sally, I've come for something else. Actually, Sono suddenly came to see me today..."
Leo directly revealed that Sono had come to him.
Leo wasn't interested in any meritorious service; he just wanted the Esmond Gathering to remain as it was.
After listening to Leo's explanation, Sally looked up, her expression calm, and said, "It's good that you told me about this. Actually, I've been following this matter as well. I've seen what Sono has been doing. Since Sono really likes the Uriel Gathering, I will make the arrangements as he wishes."
Seeing Sally's calm expression, Leo knew that she had probably already seen through Sono's actions.
"Danville, you don't need to worry about Esmond's gathering changing mentors in the short term. Even if Esmond's mentor really is missing, it will take a year before the Tower of Dawn considers arranging other mentors to come."
"Until then, you can focus on your cultivation. Although I am not qualified as a temporary acting mentor, I believe I am capable of teaching you student-level wizard buddess."
"As for the others who want to leave the Esmond gathering, let them leave."
Sally spoke lightly, but Leo could sense the pressure she was under.
Sally can teach students like Leo, but what about graduate students who become wizards?
Leo understood Sally's pressure, but could only pray that she could hold on.
Within the entire Tower of Dawn organization, there are not many gatherings willing to accept Leo, a Protoss.
a few days later.
Accompanied by a series of thumping sounds, Chris's gruff voice rang out.
"Leo, it's me."
Leo got up, opened the door, and said, "Chris, what's up?"
Chris shook his head and said, "Come to the window quickly, something terrible has happened."
Chris pulled Leo to the window and looked towards the entrance of Esmond's cabin.
Leo couldn't help but raise his eyebrows.
Sono and John stood at the door, each holding their own luggage.
Leo thought to himself, 'It seems that Sally the Wizard has made her move.'
Leo looked at the two people below, especially John, and was still a little surprised.
Surprisingly, Sono actually managed to turn one of them against him.
This person was John, who had previously disliked Sono.
Chris shook his head and said, "Leo, Sono, and John were kicked out of the Esmond Gathering."
Leo said, "Actually, Sono came to see me before. He wanted to persuade me to join the Uriel Gathering, but I refused."
"He contacted you too? It seems he's contacted all of us. He also approached me and Jasmine, but like you, we refused." Chris looked down at John and said, "I just didn't expect John to agree to him. They clearly had a fight before, and their relationship isn't good."
"But what surprised me even more than this was that Sono was actually a prince of Socrates. My God, this is the first time I've ever met such a high-ranking person. When I found out who he was, I was so surprised that I didn't know what to say."
Leo said, "Sono's identity is probably the reason John agreed. John values his identity in the mortal world, and Sono, as a prince, is above John in status, making him someone John needs to be close to."
Chris looked enlightened and said, "Indeed."
Leo then asked, "Chris, that wizard Uriel offered 1000 magic stones. Aren't you tempted?"
Chris shook his head and said, "Not at all. Offering such a high price just to get a wizarding novice to speak for him only makes him seem insecure. A thousand magic stones does look tempting, but it's meaningless if he can't get them."
Leo was surprised that Chris was so open-minded, and couldn't help but look at him in a new light. This loud-voiced guy seemed to be a thoughtful person as well.
"As for Jasmine, she didn't think as much as I did. She was just genuinely scared. She seemed very timid."
Upon hearing this, Leo couldn't help but chuckle; it did indeed suit the image of that delicate young girl.
The two watched Sono and John leave through the window before Chris said, "Leo, don't forget that we're going to see Wizard Sally today to check on our meditation results."
