Ultimate Gamer System: Factory Must Grow!

Chapter 49 Evolving the system?

Chapter 49 Evolving the system?

[Congratulations! You've now qualified for the system's advancement!]

"Oooh?!"

Stuck inside of the warding tower and already using the ladders inside to climb up to the top, Theo exhaled a short sigh, only to then change his mind and, rather than climbing, grab the sides of the ladder and just... ride it back down to the ground level.

Yet, as it appeared to be in the nature of his system... he was going to have quite the lecture of all the other notifications before he could finally learn what this truly important one was all about.

[Wrathhound (level 417) was encased in molten iron!]

[Wrathhound (level 417) defeated!]

[Level 37 > Level 72]

[Evolving Class: Crafter]

[Class Evolved: Crafter > Constructor]

[Development points - auto assignment on]

[Class Crafter > Class Constructor]

[Distributing development points - #ERROR#]

[Applying the changes - #ERROR]

[Unlocked 3rd tier of the ability shop]

'Oh right,' Theo's eyes suddenly turned wide. 'I was in such a rush to get my defenses up, I completely forgot about those two parts from the last boss!'

Refusing to make the same mistake twice, Theo quickly summoned the system, more than eager to, at the very least, check what those three parts were all about.

Earlier, his class changed and his ability shop improved. But now, with just a single glance, Theo could already tell there was one more element hidden out in plain sight that he simply failed to notice!

[Ability Points: 144]

[Ability Shop (level 3)]

'So that's what it meant by all those errors,' Theo thought, only to let go of the ladder and get back outside as his feet finally struck the ground.

Still, as eager as he was to find out just what sort of new, wondrous abilities he could get—some of which were likely to be the perfect solution to the combat he just had to deal with—he opted to, once again, push it for later.

After all, with the whole slew of notifications he already had to go through right now, he wasn't really all that keen on cluttering his vision even more.

[Pack of Wrathhounds: (9) Deceased]

[Do you wish to loot?]

[Evolved Wrathhound: (level 417) Deceased]

[Do you wish to loot?]

[Claimed by a Terror: Next three waves of challengers get delayed until the effect is over]

[Alternatively, you can break the encasing to access the Wrathhound (level 417) loot]

[You can still access the loot once the effect of 'Claimed by a Terror' ends]

'Now, that's interesting...' Theo thought, finally allowing himself to breathe out in relief, tension visibly leaving his body.

"For a moment there, I thought that bastard was still alive, huh?" he muttered as he leaned forward and rested his hands against his knees, too mentally tired to deal with all of this crap.

Still, even after all of this... Theo barely put a dent in the list of notifications he had to deal with. And judging by all the mess he still had to go through...

"Hey, system, would it be possible for me to jump to the parts that are about that system evolution thingy?" Theo asked out loud, foolishly hoping that maybe this time, his system would be willing to lend him a bit of a hand.

[Re-arranging the notifications: In progress]

[Warning: Applying the changes out of order might lead to decreased rewards as the current progression is set in the most optimal way. Do you wish to proceed?]

Seeing this, Theo couldn't help but hesitate.

And so, rather than just ignoring everything he had to read between where he was currently at and the parts that he was actually interested in... he merely skimmed through all the stuff instead.

'I've got this far by min-maxing everything I could think of. There's no way I'm going to change that now, is there?'

Shaking his head over his own habits and beliefs, Theo just ran his eyes over the next few dozen notifications, ranging from the upgrades to the respective levels of his abilities, the perks that came with it, and the various new abilities unlocked within the improved ability shop...

In the end, however, while the path Theo's system laid out for him was clearly the most optimal... what the system forgot to mention was how most of those upgrades it prevented Theo from losing would all be meaningless either way.

And it was all because of the one little notification hidden right at the end of the general rewards connected to his level-up and the perks that came with it.

[System Evolution: Your main Subsystem "Ultimate Crafting System" can now evolve into "Ultimate Constructor System"]

[Evolving the system will simplify the equipment while bringing out randomized variety to the simplified resources]

[Randomized Variety: For the sake of clarity, things belonging to the same general category will now appear as just more of the same, only to be determined at random when manifested in their raw form]

[Example: A dried berry mush will be reclassified as 1 foodstock. When taken out, it might turn into any of the known forms of food with the averaged-out quality]

[Example: A block of stone will be reclassified as 1 raw limestone that can be smelted processed into concrete. When taken out and manifested, it can turn into any kind of stone out of the variety originally introduced to the system]

[Alert: Introducing new varieties enriches the randomizer, lessening the chances of obtaining the specific resource one requires!]

[Alert: For the sake of personal use, the personal inventory and chests shall not be affected by the randomizer. Manor Storage shall be affected by the randomizer]

[This evolution will open up the first stage of industrial path]

[This evolution will lock the host out of other paths until the industrial path is completed!]

[Alternative evolutions (forced): Slaughterer Subsystem(Achieved: 2/10)/Feudal Subsystem(achieved: 5/10)/Survivalist Subsystem(achieved 3/10)(Constructor's Industrial Path reached the level of achievement of 8/10!)]

[Do you wish to continue?]
