Upon hearing Qiu Tu’s words, Cao Dabiao’s eyes flickered continuously as he tried to discern the truth behind the information Qiu Tu had shared.
Qiu Tu, not rushing him, took out a cloth bag and counted out 80 silver coins from the box full of them, then tossed the bag to Cao Dabiao.
The clinking sound of the coins was like a hypnotic melody.
Cao Dabiao, in shock, caught the bag and looked at Qiu Tu in disbelief.
Qiu Tu said, “This is 80 silver coins. They’re yours.”
Feeling the heavy weight in his hands, Cao Dabiao swallowed hard, suppressing his greed, and tentatively asked, “Sir, isn’t this the operational fund? This...”
Qiu Tu waved off his concerns, “If I dare to give it to you, I can protect you.”
“If I’m not afraid, why should you be?”
“If the sky falls, I’ll hold it up!”
“Now, make a choice. If you want to follow me, take the money. I’ll ensure your promotion and wealth in the future.”
“If not, leave the money, find somewhere to lie low for a few days, and come back when the mission is over. I won’t trouble you.”
Cao Dabiao’s expression shifted rapidly. After a moment, he seemed to have made up his mind and bowed deeply.
With a fawning smile, he said, “Sir, you must be joking.”

Fourth Master Qin replied, “It’s about my useless second brother.”
He continued, “Tonight, I’d like to invite you to watch a show.”
“A show?”
“Yes, a show.”
“I want you to witness firsthand the connection between my second brother’s trusted men and the anti-government forces.”
Qiu Tu paused, intrigued, “Actually, Fourth Master, I’m more curious about why you’re so intent on targeting Deputy Director Qin.”
“What do you gain from his downfall?”
Fourth Master Qin replied firmly, “Nothing!”
With a hint of frustration, he said, “But I can’t stand by and watch him destroy the family business my father built with so much effort!”
He spoke with nostalgia, “Back then, my father started from scratch, enduring hardships to establish the Qin family’s vast enterprise. Besides the 100 pounds of gold my grandfather left him, a tech company, and a handful of trusted subordinates, he relied on no one!”
“I won’t allow anyone to ruin his life’s work!”
Qiu Tu responded, “I understand.”
Fourth Master Qin sighed, “So, upon discovering my second brother’s actions, I knew that only through righteousness could I save the Qin family.”
“Leaving that document last time was to see if you, Agent Qiu, dared to investigate this matter.”
“Yesterday, when you brought in a team of Political Division agents, it showed me your sincerity, so I’m willing to show you mine.”
After a moment of silence, Qiu Tu said, “Alright, send the address and time to my communicator.”
Fourth Master Qin laughed heartily and ended the call.
Shortly after, Qiu Tu received a message with an address: 8PM, Room 108, Zhizhen Hotel.
“Zhizhen Hotel?”
As Qiu Tu pondered this, his communicator buzzed again with another message from an unknown number.
