Chapter 306 To Our Peace
Chapter 306 To Our Peace
"It's fine now, we are safe." Lucy whispered as my consciousness faded.I was out for days, and while I was out, I suffered a recurring nightmare. Nightmare? Could I even call it that? It was of our fight in that dimension. The screams of my teammates caused shivers to go down my spine, my muscles tensed every time I heard their cries of agony.

It was always of them being slowly beaten to death, with the dragon lords relishing in their suffering. Lucy and Caleb are somewhat not present in this dreamy landscape of mine, but there's Park, he always died terribly. After his death, mine was next, and after it all, the dream would start all over again from the point of us making the daring choice to go through the door.
I suffered through this phenomenon for three days, at least that was what I was told.
When I awoke on the third day, I saw that I was in a familiar room but it didn't occur to me right away where it was. My head was still hazy from all the pain, but I could feel that I was totally healed, but my energy was low.
'I am alive?'
I looked to my callused hands, my eyes opened wide-eyed. Once it fully dawned on me that my heart was still beating and I was not in the bottom of hell, I turned to observe my surroundings. I saw two maids in uniforms, and they bowed once they felt my gaze upon them.
"Good Afternoon Master Luke. We hope you're feeling much better."
I simply nodded to them and turned to the window. The Lyma region was still standing fine, even with its refugees, it didn't show any sign of attack or fracture.
I smirked, and spoke, "I have been out for how many days?"
"For three days Master Luke."
"Is that so?"
That was a lot shorter than I had expected, but I was relieved. I didn't take too long to regain consciousness, at least it didn't seem so.
I looked underneath the blanket to see that I was naked, and I released a sigh before summoning an ordinary adventurer outfit from my personal space.
"You have to eat Master Luke." One of them suggested.
"You are right about that, but first I have to see the others."
I got out of the room and headed for where Theo was most likely going to be: The Sitting room.
True to my intuition, he was. It wasn't just him and Drius present however, there were other new faces seated on the couch and from their attires, they seemed important, or otherwise foreign.
I couldn't tell what I had intended, but Theo soon broke the silence. Raising his hand, he introduced me,
"This is Sir Luke, the incredible man that has stood strongly behind me and made all this possible."
The two pale figures in blue dresses seemed quite shocked at this revelation, I was guessing they expected someone larger, and perhaps more masculine. I might have lean muscles, and a fit body due to all the fighting, but I looked like a native teenager in Mage'Earth.
"Ah the wonderful Sir Luke, Duke Theo has filled us with all your exploits. We hope to maintain a healthy relationship with you." The two of them got up, and then clasped their hands together, forward and away from their chest.
I simply nodded, uncaring about what gestures they just relayed. They either thought my nodding was sufficient, that or they just didn't care. They took their seats and so did I.
I looked around quite a bit, turning my head around. I was curious about Lucy, my heart was racing over the fear that she had probably left to hinder the Dragon God and his kinsmen in however way she could.
However, I waited, though my body fought greatly to get up and
"To our peace." Theo repeated.
