Chapter 2625: Struggle
Chapter 2625: Struggle
On Demarco Mount, Hiddy sat at Julius Reed’s bedside, carefully observing him."I’ve even forgotten how long it’s been since I last truly looked at you like this." Hiddy smiled, reaching out to touch Julius Reed’s face.
"Saint Lord, Shadow Kims requests to see you outside."
The guard at the door reported.
"Let him in."
Hiddy softly replied.
Soon, Shadow Kims hurried inside.
Seeing Julius Reed still unconscious on the bed, Shadow Kims felt quite surprised.
In such a situation, one would expect the person to be dead.
Yet Julius Reed wasn’t dead; he still appeared to have vital signs.
How strange!
This completely defies logic.
It’s not a normal human response.
But confirming that Julius Reed wasn’t dead, Shadow Kims also breathed a sigh of relief.
"I’ve almost completed the treatment for Jovany Leopold’s poison. Next, he just needs to rest quietly."
Shadow Kims reported.
His most important task now was to rescue Jovany Leopold.
With the treatment almost complete, he came to report and take a look at Julius Reed.
"Good." Hiddy smiled and said, "You truly are Julius Reed’s most trusted person, worthy of his trust."
"The fact that I have achieved this, is all thanks to Julius Reed. But his current condition, I am somewhat worried about." Shadow Kims understood Hiddy and Julius Reed’s feelings, so he spoke without any reservations.
If it were elsewhere, expressing worry about the former Saint Lord in front of the new Saint Lord might lead to trouble.
"Julius Reed’s condition is not very optimistic. According to my estimation, Silvio Reed will definitely send someone to spy. Arrange for people to patrol the mountain thoroughly, and if any suspicious individuals are found, take them down directly!"
After Hiddy finished speaking, she waved her hand, "If there’s nothing else, go ahead and get it done."
"Okay." Shadow Kims knew he couldn’t do much by staying, so he went off to handle other matters. "But who should I take with me?"
"Eric Jackson, doesn’t he have subordinates? It’s perfect timing; the Saint Lord will make him Archbishop, he ought to show some performance, right?" Hiddy said casually.
"I understand." Shadow Kims nodded and quickly left.
He had just left when another person rushed in from outside.
"Saint Lord, we couldn’t stop them." The guard said awkwardly, following behind Dragon Dance.
Dragon Dance is the Empress; her abilities surpass these guards.
"You may leave now." Hiddy glanced at Dragon Dance, saying calmly.
The guards retreated, leaving only Dragon Dance and Hiddy.
"You’re making it difficult for me."
Hiddy raised her head, her tone carrying a chill.
"No one can stop me from going where I wish. Don’t forget, I was once the ruler of Demarco Mount, while your father was nothing but a tool we created." Dragon Dance responded bluntly.
"So, do you want to fight me?"
Hiddy slowly stood up, the murderous aura on her body began to spread.
"Sure. Just as well, I find you occupying the throne quite displeasing. Why not have a fight, whoever wins takes the throne, eh?" Dragon Dance mocked, "But can you defeat me? You don’t have the ability, do you know?"
"We only find out after fighting, don’t we?"
Hiddy smiled calmly, slowly raising her hand, "Don’t injure him by accident, let’s go outside to fight. Let’s agree, no matter who wins or loses, he must not find out about this."
"Of course, this is a clash between us, he’s just a trophy, what need does he have to know?" Dragon Dance didn’t care at all about these matters, ready to fight, she’s never feared anyone.
Once on Demarco Mount, she even fought Silvio Reed.
"Uh..."
Suddenly, Eric Jackson rushed in hastily.
The guards hadn’t even had the chance to report.
Feeling the murderous intent, he wisely chuckled, "Uh, should I come back later?"
Having said that, he was about to turn and leave.
"The main issue is important, speak, what’s the matter."
Hiddy withdrew her murderous aura, she is the Saint Lord, she must maintain her dignity and cannot lose her composure easily.
"Shadow Kims and I are already prepared. But now, there’s a slight unexpected situation, I was in a rush and forgot to report." Eric Jackson said apologetically, "Pardon me."
Sometimes, people under the eaves have no choice but to bow.
Everything he had now was thanks to Julius Reed.
Naturally, he had to be courteous to Hiddy.
After all, Julius Reed had already mentioned wanting to go fishing.
Now on Demarco Mount, Hiddy’s word is law.
"Shadow Kims asked me to pass on a message, saying a fellow named Monstrous True Monarch called. Said he would arrive here tonight. He made some requests, wanting good accommodations, good food, and someone to pick him up."
Eric Jackson didn’t know who Monstrous True Monarch was, but from the looks of it, he seemed significant.
"Julius Reed’s bad habits!" Hiddy frowned. If everyone dared to make demands like that at Demarco Mount, how could she be authoritative?
Now it appears, Shadow Kims truly went to extremes.
Very obedient and knowing what’s appropriate to do and say.
Never crossing the line.
Working diligently.
"I advise you to treat this person well." Dragon Dance saw Hiddy’s dissatisfaction and hummed lightly on the side, "In this world, the only person he respects is Julius Reed. Even if you are Julius Reed’s woman, you don’t have that respect."
"Oh?" Hiddy raised her eyebrows, looking at Dragon Dance.
She was suspicious, wondering if Dragon Dance was deliberately causing trouble.
She knew Monstrous True Monarch, but not as well as Dragon Dance.
After all, Hiddy had always been on Demarco Mount, while Dragon Dance stayed by Julius Reed’s side, knowing a bit more.
"He is an ancient martial artist, predating all of us. He was once just a fragmented soul, but recently, after I produced a corpse left by the Church in my possession, he gained Judas’s body, defeating you with no effort."
Dragon Dance smirked, "Angering him would bring chaos to Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance. When Julius Reed wakes up, he would blame you too."
"Does my Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance have to fear anyone?" Hiddy squinted her eyes, beginning to hesitate internally.
But finally, reason overpowered emotion; she didn’t clash with Dragon Dance.
"Then this matter, I’ll leave it to you to arrange." Hiddy smiled, "Julius Reed trusts you so much, and he is your old acquaintance, you can look after this, can’t you?"
Looking at the two women before him, Eric Jackson felt a headache coming.
"You may leave now, take Iwan Martinez with you. Remember, capture them all, leave none."
Hiddy instructed Eric Jackson.
"Understood." Eric Jackson felt relieved, he could finally leave.
Leaving the room, he found his back soaked with sweat.
When women gather together, it’s always trouble.
Indeed, none were easy to deal with.
"Wait!"
Suddenly, Eric Jackson felt a chill down his spine!
It turned out Judas was the person they were about to meet?
He knew Judas had come back to life.
The Yellow Robe Archbishop had said so.
But the specifics, no one knew.
Possession through corpse borrowing?
Eric Jackson felt a chill of fear.
What kind of monsters were on this mountain?
