Chapter 471: Ambush—Lethal Fight on the Pier Part 2
Seeing his enemies right in front of him, Alex’s mind is filled with rage.Without further delay, Alex draws his [Executioner’s Blade R2] with his right hand and fires off a Warp with his left, sending a powerful biotic blast straight at the druid.
The martial artist reacts instantly, hurling a bright yellow Ki blast to intercept Alex’s attack. The two projectiles collide mid-air—but Alex’s Warp pierces through it, reaching its target.
The druid raises his staff just in time, encasing himself in a layer of thick bark to absorb the damage.
The sniper responds by flinging a dagger at Alex—who deflects it effortlessly with the flat part of his blade.
Alex quickly uses Stasis, trapping the martial artist in a shimmering biotic prison, a thick blue energy shield stopping all of his movements.
Then, pushing his body even further, he activates the first effect of [Uzin’s Rage] a second time, clenching his jaw through the pain as more of his HP burns away.
“Entangling Roots!” the druid yells, slamming his staff into the ground.
Vines surge from the earth—but they’re useless, unable to hold down Alex. The Unstoppable effect from Avatar of Vengeance nullifies the control effect completely as Alex rushes forward, tearing apart the vines.
He powers through the spell, igniting his sword with azure-crimson flames, using Fira Sword, then activates Ko, further strengthening his sword.
The druid panics, his eyes wide in horror as he sees the imposing energy on Alex’s weapon, right in front of his eyes. Somehow, he controls his emotions as he lifts his staff to block the attack.
Alex grins in response, his eyes filled with anticipation.
With his STR now nearing 80—far beyond what most players could ever hope to achieve, even at close to max level—he cleaves clean through the druid’s defense, the flaming edge of his blade slicing through the staff, and then the bark covering his body, before splitting his body.
Without slowing, Alex spins mid-motion, once again using Fira Sword and turning his attention to the martial artist.
He slows down on purpose, looking at the slowly fading Stasis ability, timing his swing perfectly, adjusting his speed precisely to coincide with the end of the Stasis duration. The moment the biotic field dissipates—his flaming blade arrives in front of him.
Just as the duration ends, Alex’s [Executioner’s Blade R2] finally connects with its target, while he notices that the Sniper is backing off and throwing herself onto the ground, once again aiming at him with her large caliber sniper rifle.
The Martial artist is unable to react and just manages to move away, pulling his head out of danger, yet is unable to withstand the attack and instantly dies, his eyes filled with horror and confusion, as Alex cuts him in two, starting at his shoulders.
Alex leaves out a sigh of relief, his muscles scream in pain—torn and stretched from the relentless strain of his rapid use of abilities. Everything hurts.
Ignoring the pain, Alex leaps into the air, twisting just enough mid-flight to avoid the sniper’s desperate shot—a high-velocity round ripping past where his torso had been a split second earlier, creating a loud, booming sound.
He lands by jumping onto the sniper, crashing into her back, his [Sabatons of Pluto] slamming into her body with a disgusting crunch.
“AAAAAAH!” she screams in pain.
“STOP, I surrender!” she immediately adds.
“How are you able to use this weapon? I give you 3 seconds to respond! Speak or die!” Alex demands to know, his eyes flaring red, [Shepard’s Promise R2], empowering him.
“M—m—my innate skill!” she stammers, yet instantly replies.
“Spare me, we can make a trade!” She continues, desperately pleading.
With his eyes burning with rage, Alex slowly pushes his [Executioner’s Blade R2] into her back, savoring her screams as the blade drives through muscle, bone, and organs.
“Aaaah! No!! S—p—are me. Please. I have a family. They forced me to do this. It was all the others, I beg you—”
Smirking at her misery, Alex suddenly snaps back to his senses and slaps his own cheek.
No longer hesitating, Alex cleanly severs her head in one swift motion.
Breathing for just a few seconds, his vision growing blurry as the temporary boosts of [Uzin’s Rage] leave his body. He also sees three Bloody chests appear over the corpses of the fallen players. Alex grabs them without pause, then jumps down to ground level and rushes back toward the wooden pier, seeing that the battle has now moved onto the various ships docked there.

He quickly glances at the system screen, noting that the three players were level 7, 8, and 9—judging from the levels of the chests themselves. They are around the same level as him, with two of them being even higher leveled.
As he rushes forward, he sees multiple pirates fleeing from the ships, scattering in every direction.
Ignoring them, Alex reaches the ships just in time to see Tereza mid-fight, flying over the first ship, with around ten enemies shooting at her from on board.
Tereza is flying above them, her wings beating fast, yet still flying around nimbly, but her body’s obviously in bad shape as it is covered in visible wounds.
“Protego!” she yells, creating a shield around her just in time to block a volley of shots from the pirates who fire their guns and rifles.
“Ferula, Episkey, Episkey, Episkey,” she chants, summoning a few conjured bandages and rapidly casting healing spells to keep herself together.
Despite her efforts, another player—a large, muscular woman wielding a javelin—suddenly coats it in crackling lightning and hurls it straight at her.
