Destroying My Own World

Chapter 366 Miracle.

Chapter 366 Miracle.

The whole world was shaken by the information that Elestria published about the discovery inside the rift. A being that could make every living being succumb to her presence, unable to resist. It was at that moment that they understood the danger they were going to face inside the rift. Read the latest on My Virtual Library Empire

"Nobody would be sane enough to risk their lives where the chance of winning is none. I don't understand why Her Majesty revealed the whole truth and what she was planning to put fear in humankind," Melissa wondered as she read the detailed results of the scouting.

"I think she was being pushed by someone. I'm not sure who would dare to do something like that, but before she revealed the truth, someone stirred the public opinion about her," Zachary responded. "It could be Mykel, but I don't believe he would use such a cheap trick like that and I don't see a reason why he would do that in the first place," he added.

"No, it wasn't him. I could think of a person and that's Duchess Victoria, but I have the same question as yours. Why would she do that knowing that she has nothing to gain from doing this," Melissa responded.

When they both were thinking about what was going on in the Faelethria Kingdom, Melissa's secretary came in. The secretary brought a letter and gave it to her, something that rarely happens when receiving a letter with no sender's name.

"I see..." Melissa folded the letter after she read it thoroughly. "You should contact Miss Javelin and ask if she received something similar," she looked at Zachary.

Zachary was confused by what Melissa meant by that until he was given the letter and read it. The sender was Victoria, offering an alliance to fight against Elestria's tyranny. He remembered that Javelin had been in contact with Victoria, and it wouldn't be a surprise if she was getting the same offer from Victoria.

"At a time like this, she still has the time to think about coup d'etat. Saying that Her Majesty's ruling like a tyrant, and yet she killed people to gain power. She's not that different," Melissa said and she wasn't interested in the alliance or to be bothered by it. "If Miss Javelin received the same offering, I want you to convince her to not take the offer. We will help the Dystrovia nation and let her rebuild the nation without Her Majesty's or Victoria's help," she added.

"Yes, I will do that," Zachary said and then left to make a phone call to Javelin.

The next day, the three nations were gathered in the Queen's palace after they received an invitation from Elestria. It was a sudden invitation and could be counted as rude, but she showed her influence in the world and how everyone came to her call.

The reason why she summoned the important and powerful figures around the world was to discuss the rift. She wanted to discuss what to do, and what actions they should take since the fate of humankind is on the brink of extinction.

Mykel stood up from his seat and everyone looked at him since nobody knew about his background ever since rumor had spread about the strongest Gifted. He walked past those officials and then glanced at Melissa for a second before he walked past her.

"Some of you might have heard about him, and I admit that I have been keeping him by my side and hiding him from the public eyes," Elestria said and looked at Mykel who was standing in front of the stage, in the middle of the room. "Only those who have joined the raid with him would agree that he's the only one who can represent the Gifted since he has accomplished more than any Gifted out there," she continued.

"Of course, if there's anyone in here who has any objection, I would love to hear it," Elestria smiled gently.

Nobody was stupid enough to show any objection since their presence in the room was nothing but spectators for most of them. Those who held power and status would rather play safe and stand down to avoid offending Elestria.

"Now that everyone has agreed, please, ask him anything and he will represent the Gifted," Elestria said.

Melissa raised her hand as she stood up and stared into Mykel's eyes. Everyone was relieved that Melissa had decided to speak and they could rely on her since she had a noble heart.

"Sir Alester, as the representative of the Gifted, what's your take on this situation? The Gods might have helped us up to this day, but even with that, the Gifted struggles to keep up with the situation. I would call it a miracle that humanity has survived the invasion until today, but how far do you think we will be able to survive?" Melissa asked and her question was the question that everyone wanted to know.

"If you called it a miracle that humankind had been living in peace with zero casualties of non-Gifted, then what are we to you as we are the ones who have been preventing the demons from coming into our world? A God?" Mykel asked back.

Mykel's statement shocked everyone in the room and everyone who watched the meeting. How could someone respond with such absurdity and how his words showed his arrogance. Someone who was fit to be standing next to Elestria, both of them had similarities that made them compatible.

"You haven't answered my question, Sir Alester," Melissa said with a serious expression. "Please stay with the topic," she added.

"Prepare all the Gifted from around the world, and I will guarantee that we will clear it," Mykel smiled at Melissa. "I will show you that it's not a miracle but the people who have risked their lives so all of you can sleep comfortably. That's all I have to say," he added.

Mykel's words made those Gifted who heard his answer in a high spirit, excited, and thrilled. They felt proud of themselves and believed that it wasn't the Gods, but it was because they cleared the rift. They wanted to prove to the whole world that it was all because of them that the world was safe from those creatures and demons.
