Chapter 294 Not completely gone.
Elena came back to the same place, the vast platform with crystallines scattered around that emitted purple light that lightened up the darkness. When she came back to the throne area, she was taken aback when she saw millions of figures standing still like statues, but they were all looking up at the throne.
When she looked at the throne, she was surprised when she saw Sasha unconscious on the throne. She wanted to go to check on Sasha, but the moment she took a step forward, all the figures turned their heads and glared at her.
"It's alright, they're not going to hurt you," Mykel said as he walked toward the throne.
Elena followed Mykel and ignored the gazes because she believed in his words. Even if he was wrong, she didn't fear them and she was strong enough to fight them all at once.
Although she was confident in herself, she hadn't adapted to the pressure that Mykel had released. She couldn't use all her strength yet, but she was gradually getting stronger because her [Renewal] power made her grow stronger every second.
It was similar to the [Supremacy] skill but the difference was [Renewal] only made her stronger when she was affected by outside forces. As long as she was fine, her [Renewal] power couldn't make her stronger since there was nothing to fix or enhance in her body.@@@@
To put it simply, she would grow stronger by just standing next to Mykel, and that was the reason why she was able to stand up back then.
"I'll explain everything to you while we wait for Sasha to wake up," Mykel said as he sat on the stairs and grabbed the pack of cigarettes.
Elena sat next to Mykel and took the cigarette in his mouth and then put it in her mouth. She then watched Mykel light the cigarette in her mouth as he explained everything to her.
Elena listened as she smoked her cigarette, and she understood everything, including The Lord's death. She then looked at Sasha and she had a hunch that Sasha was different from the others, but she never thought Sasha could become the key to Mykel's freedom.
"If we managed to walk through the storm and found out the truth, and if there's a being that's above you and The Lord, the one who truly rules over everything, are we capable of defeating them?" Elena asked.
"I don't know," Mykel answered as he shook his head and watched the smoke floating in front of him. "I know nothing about it," he continued and he looked a bit troubled.
"Why do you want to go to that extent? Can't we just ignore it since that thing won't do anything?" Elena asked as she leaned her head on Mykel's shoulder. "Soon you'll be able to control your power with Sasha's help. Why don't we just live our lives and create a new world? I don't see a reason why we should go and fight the unknown," she added.
Elena imprisoned the gigantic blob of slime that had been consuming Mykel from the inside. They were more terrifying than the abyss that Mykel had since the homunculus had no emotions, feelings, or consciousness. Their sole purpose was to clog and eat Mykel's power, but that didn't mean they were totally brainless creatures because Elena and Mykel could sense Amaryllis' presence inside of it.
"Who wants to get in there and pull Amaryllis out?" Elena asked with her eyebrows raised. "I never thought I would feel disgusted by anything, but this thing. I don't feel like I want to put my hand in there," she looked at Mykel and signaled him to do it in her stead.
Mykel chuckled as he walked into the barrier to try to bring out Amaryllis from the gigantic blob. The moment the homunculus noticed his presence, it charged toward him and was ready to swallow him. Mykel didn't try to avoid it, and then he snapped his fingers, making the homunculus freeze in time.
Mykel put his hand into the homunculus and in an instant, the power that the homunculus had devoured came back into Mykel's body. The homunculus shrunk its size to half of its previous size, and it kept shrinking until it was small enough to be twice the size of Mykel's height.
"This is as far as I can go. If I go further than this, I might devour Amaryllis' existence and make it mine," Mykel said as he removed his hand from the homunculus.
Elena walked in and she was hesitant to put her hand into the blob, but then Mykel grabbed her hand and put their hands inside. She was making a disgusted expression as she looked away and tried to find the fragments of Amaryllis' power that were scattered inside its body.
It took her a while to gather all the fragments and concentrate them into her palm. Once she gathered all of them, she used her [Renewal] power and created a life from it as she imagined Amaryllis' appearance.
Mykel watched from the side as the blob was slowly melting until there was a human figure wrapped in slime. The moment the slime melted away, that was when he saw Amaryllis standing with her eyes closed and Elena's hand inside her chest.
The moment Elena pulled her hand from Amaryllis' chest, that was when Amaryllis opened her eyes slowly. The first thing she saw was Elena's face, and then her eyes were wide open, and her eyes were so bright to see Elena in front of her.
"Elena!" Amaryllis ran and hugged Elena so tightly. "I knew you would be able to bring me back," she said happily.
"It's actually not my idea, but him," Elena responded with a huge smile on her face.
Amaryllis looked to her left and saw Mykel standing with his arms crossed.
"Mykel?" Amaryllis furrowed her eyebrows and couldn't believe what she saw.
"I have been saying this so many times, but yes, it's me," Mykel answered with a smile.
