Chapter 283 One last standing.

Elena was pulled out of the cube because Mykel was awake after she blasted him with her life energy. The life energy that lingered around Mykel's body slowly being repelled by the abyss that made him immune to it.

It didn't take a few seconds until Mykel recovered as if nothing had happened to him. That made everyone nervous, and when Luciel used the [Fracture] skill to weaken him, the inside of the cube started to crack. It was supposed to make Mykel weak because the space inside the cube had been cracked and ripped into pieces.

They were fooled and he made them believe that his power could only devour and not the other way around. He could turn the abyss and make it impenetrable by anything, not only that, it could repel anything that tried to get in.

"Playtime is over," Mykel said as he spread his wings and shattered the cube and the space around him.

When everyone was still shocked and distracted, Mykel used the opportunity to take Lyneth to his side. When Amaryllis saw it happen, she decided to activate her skill, but before she could do so, Mykel impaled her and everyone in an instant.

Everyone was being corrupted by the abyss, and since Elena was in a weakened state, she couldn't help them. She was barely awake, and then suddenly she felt an arm wrapped around her waist. When she tried to focus on what was going on, she realized that she was being taken away by Mykel.

"It's time to leave," Mykel said as he looked Elena in the eyes.

Elena was trying to fight back and tried to free herself from Mykel's grasp. That was when he realized that she still believed she could win the game.@@@@

"Do you still believe you can win?" Mykel asked as he pulled Elena closer and his face was right in front of Elena. "I never thought it would be this fun to fool all of you, but I'm getting bored playing. It's time to end this," he continued as he watched Rozan and the others struggle to resist the corruption.

One by one, everyone became one with the abyss as Lyneth tried to scream but her mouth was covered by Mykel's hand. She then felt a chill behind her back and slowly she felt numb from her back down to her feet. When she looked down her body had been devoured by the abyss.

Lyneth tried to use her [Vesper] skill to free herself and save the others, but she felt like she had lost her power. No matter how hard she wished to save everyone, nothing happened and that made her speechless.

"I'm the one who lent you my power. As long as I don't permit you to use my power, you can't use it freely," Mykel whispered with a grin on his face. "It's time for you to say goodbye to your daughter," he continued as he devoured Lyneth's body and up to her neck.

"You told me that I can be whatever I want to be. I took those words and carved them in my heart, and I have been trying to meet your expectations," Amaryllis stared into Mykel's eyes and she had no fear in her eyes and words. "Now is the time to prove it," she continued as she snapped her fingers.

The abyss disappeared and then hundreds of thousands of Mykel's homunculus appeared from thin air. Not only that but Elena's life energy was filling the space, the life energy that she left in the Void Realm during her training. She had been learning about it, observing it, and lastly modifying it until she managed to control it and turn it into something else.

Mykel looked at those homunculus and didn't hesitate to wipe them all with spikes that came out of thin air. He realized that the homunculus were unaffected by his power and realized they were not living beings.

"You can only corrupt the living, not an object," Amaryllis said with a serious expression. "No matter how many times you ripped them apart, they will come back to life," she explained.

Mykel looked at the homunculus turned into slime and escaped the spikes. The slimes then turned their shapes back to Mykel, and what surprised him was that those homunculi took a bit of his power.

"I can't kill them, and I can't devour them because they will eat me from the inside. You're really clever," Mykel said.

Amaryllis snapped her fingers again and brought millions of her clones to her side and surrounded Mykel. She then allowed the homunculus to devour her clones which made Mykel curious as to what she was planning.

The life energy that filled the space got absorbed into all the homunculus. Each of them possessed both Mykel's and Elena's power, and her power as well which made the homunculus able to manipulate life energy.

"You're going to pay for what you have done," Amaryllis said and all the homunculus pointed their hands at Mykel. "As long as I'm alive, you can't be at peace," she continued and commanded all the homunculus.

All the homunculus released beams of life energy at Mykel.

"How cute," Mykel smirked and he was unaffected by the beams. "It's my turn now," he said and repelled the beams, and then sent them all back to the homunculi, obliterating all of them in an instant.

"This is just the beginning," Amaryllis said as the homunculi came back as if nothing had happened to them in the first place.
