Chapter 175 City of God.

"i don't understand why we are going there again, and i don't think it would make any difference," danny said as he looked outside the window and watched the plane about to land. "i don't like this at all," danny mumbled to himself.

luis agreed with danny, but what bothered him was the fact lucifer was surrounded by anastasia, eun soo, and gea pissed him off. he couldn't stand it and couldn't wait to leave the cabin as soon as possible because he was quite jealous of him.nôv(el)b\\jnn

"are you alright, anzel?" danny asked and looked at anzel on the other side. "i know that you're pissed, but please hold back because we are here to prevent them from going to war. you should know how heartless they are, so don't let the world experience what you experienced," danny warned with a worried expression.

"i'll see what i can do," anzel answered coldly as he clenched his fists.

danny sighed and knew it would be impossible and he knew he regretted coming there. but since sasha was there and more people were coming with them, they should be able to stop anzel from going rampage.

the people that came along with them weren't agares and the others, but the six princes of hell and lilith. they only knew that the princes of hell were the new recruits from the redshield guild. they didn't know much about them and how strong they were since they only knew about them before they took the flight.

the moment the plane door opened, they were welcomed by mykel and elena. those two alone were enough to put pressure on them, even lucifer could feel the immense power within them.

"to think the man himself greeted us," lucifer said as he walked down the plane. "it's an honor, mykel alester," lucifer smiled and offered his hand for a handshake.

"i heard a lot about you, eric ulf. i can't wait to have a private talk with you," mykel shook lucifer's hand.

lucifer could feel his hand burning and melting, but when he looked at his own hand, nothing happened. the feeling was real and the pain started to get worse and worse, but when he wanted to retract his hand, mykel stopped him.

"i can't wait to hear what you have to say," lucifer forced his smile and then mykel removed his hand from his.

as soon as lucifer took a step back from mykel, anzel ran past him, fast enough to startle him. anzel was about to punch mykel, but elena punched him in the face instead. he was knocked down to the ground with his face no longer recognizable because she broke his skull and deformed it.

"motherfu-" danny mumbled and ran toward anzel to drag him away from those two.

"that's the first warning. i'll give you two more, and the moment i gave my third warning, i'll kill all of you," elena said as she looked down at danny who was trying to grab anzel.

danny nodded with understanding as he dragged anzel away, and he wondered why anzel acted so rashly. eun soo immediately healed anzel's face and it only took her a second to get his face back to normal.

"yes, long time no see," sasha replied and looked jeanne in the eye.

"you can have my word. nobody is going to die today and i can promise you that," jeanne said and looked at anzel and the others. "come. you guys can have a seat with me if that makes you feel a bit safe," jeanne added and then walked to the table.

sasha didn't decline the offer and sat with jeanne, and the others also joined in. anastasia wanted to join lucifer, but the table was already full of his guild members. they then enjoyed the feast and the tension slowly disappeared because they realized nothing was suspicious about the food and it was the most delicious food they had ever eaten.

"i know that you're busy, but i never thought that you forgot about today," jeanne said as she looked at someone walking toward the table.

sasha turned around and looked at brynhilde walking hurriedly to the table. she then looked at both jeanne and brynhilde sitting next to each other and realized how beautiful it was to see them together. in the story, brynhilde died after telling jeanne the truth, and it was devastating for her.

it felt surreal that almost all the characters who were supposed to be the protagonists of the story had been turned into villains. they couldn't get their heads around it and find the reason why they abandoned their righteousness and became so heartless.

mykel suddenly walked out of the hall, and sasha looked at the opportunity. she waited for a few minutes and pretended to be enjoying the feast.

"i need to go the bathroom," sasha said as she wiped her mouth with a napkin.

nobody suspected anything and she left the hall to find mykel since he hadn't come back into the hall. she looked around, but she couldn't find him anywhere so she decided to go to the bathroom to wash her face. she felt so nervous when she imagined how to speak up to him if she saw him, but she brushed it off and left the bathroom.

when she walked back and had given up on looking for mykel, she saw mykel on his way back to the hall as well. she was frozen still, and her heart was pounding really fast and she didn't know what to do. when mykel was about to enter the hall, he turned his head and stared right into her eyes.

"hi," sasha said as she hesitated to wave her hand.

mykel removed his hand from the door handle and then approached sasha.

"is that all you have to say?" mykel asked with a smile as he stood right in front of her.

"i..." sasha paused as she tried to calm herself down. "i have so many things that i want to say," sasha continued.

"then let's have a talk," mykel said and grabbed sasha's hand, and brought her away from the hall.
