Chapter 63 The Clash of Ideas

Chapter 63 The Clash of Ideas

"Mr. Li Wei, what do we do next?"

A police officer cautiously asked Li Wei about his next plans.

"We're heading to the city hall immediately!"

After thinking it over, Li Wei made arrangements.

Despite feeling very uncomfortable, he couldn't really ignore Gotham.

Just as they were preparing to depart, a burst of intense gunfire suddenly erupted outside the train station.

"Oh no, it's probably Maroney's men!"

Leading Catwoman and the others, Li Wei rushed into the train station, peering out the window.

A group of men armed with heavy weapons emerged from the darkness and surrounded the train station. The leader was a tall and muscular black man.

Looking at this guy, Li Wei had a feeling of déjà vu.

"Mr. Li Wei, it is an honor to meet you here."

He Mang was carrying a machine gun, his body wrapped in bullet belts, dressed like Rambo.

"Mr. Maroni said that as long as you hand over the raw materials and that woman, he will spare your lives!"

As long as you are willing to work for Mr. Maroney, he will not pursue the matter of you sweeping up our base!

If you refuse, this is what will happen to you!

After shouting, He Mang picked up the machine gun and pointed it at the station entrance. The muzzle was pointed directly at the thugs who were tied together.

As Li Wei stared in astonishment, He Mang smirked and pulled the trigger.

Gunshots rang out, and the gang of thugs all fell to the ground in pools of blood.

"You bastard, these are your people!"

Li Wei's eyes sharpened; he never imagined there could be such a ruthless person.

"Oh, Mr. Levi, I was just showing you."

He Mang smiled indifferently; these NPCs were quite saintly.

These people at the door were indeed Maroni's men, but they weren't He Mang's men.

"Do as I say, and I guarantee you'll be fine, Mr. Levi!"

He Mang couldn't help but laugh when he thought about how Gao Le had gone to so much trouble to get rid of Li Wei.

He had made up his mind that if Li Wei dared to show his face, he would blow his head off.

Even a mosquito's leg is still meat; defeating this NPC will at least earn you a few reputation points.

"You'll only get me killed if I betray my friends!"

After shouting, Li Wei turned to Catwoman and said, "Catwoman, you take the child and go first. We'll cover you!"

"No, I can't leave you all behind!" Catwoman immediately refused.

"This is not the time to act impulsively!"

Li Wei said seriously, "The child's safety is the most important thing. You take him and run out the back door first."

"As long as you get out safely, we'll be free soon!"

Catwoman looked into Li Wei's determined eyes and finally nodded: "Alright! Be careful!"

After Catwoman finished speaking, she led Rena out the back door.

Li Wei signaled to the officers to switch to the weapons placed in the lobby; these were heavy weapons they'd picked up for free, so why not use them?

After changing their weapons, Li Wei led the police officers to launch an attack outside.

He Mang's plan failed, and in a fit of rage, he ordered his men to retaliate.

Gunshots and explosions echoed around the train station, and the scene immediately descended into chaos.

However, relying on cover, Li Wei and his men, despite being outnumbered, managed to keep He Mang's men from advancing an inch by using their heavy firepower.

Catwoman rushed out of the train station through the back door with the child in her arms and ran towards the city hall.

Hearing the gunshots behind her, Catwoman felt a surge of worry, followed by guilt towards Li Wei.

If it weren't for her request, Li Wei wouldn't have ended up in this situation...

At the train station, Li Wei and his men engaged in a fierce gunfight with He Mang.

Although the police officers were all brave and skilled in battle, He Mang had the advantage in numbers.

Moreover, they were armed with heavy weapons, and Li Wei and his men gradually found themselves in trouble.

"Mr. Levi, we're running low on ammunition!" an officer shouted.

Li Wei looked at the corner where the weapons used to be piled up and his heart tightened.

Apart from a few lonely grenades, there were no more magazines left on the spot.

He knew that if things continued like this, it was only a matter of time before he was killed.

Li Wei began to think about whether he could use the three-second damage immunity time to catch them off guard.

Just then, a familiar roar came from afar.

Li Wei looked up and saw the Batmobile heading towards the train station.

"Batman is here! We're saved!" an officer shouted excitedly.

Seeing the Batmobile speeding towards him, Levi breathed a sigh of relief.

Although it's hard to admit, meeting Batman in Gotham isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Hearing the roar of the Batmobile, He Mang and his men turned around and fired at Batman.

However, their once-proud firepower proved utterly inadequate against the Batmobile, powered by their financial resources.

Bullets struck the Batmobile, sending sparks flying.

The Batmobile came on aggressively, showing no sign of stopping, and He Mang and his men began to scatter and flee.

From their perspective, the tanks could easily crush them into mincemeat.

After all, these guys are perfectly capable of doing something like that.

People always tend to judge others based on their own ideas.

Batman's arrival instantly turned the tide of the battle.

Seeing the men scattering and fleeing, Li Wei led his officers to take the initiative and launch an attack.

Soon, under the combined attack of Batman and Levi, the once arrogant thugs fell one after another.

Batman shot He Mang in the hand with a dart, rendering him unable to fight. Two police officers quickly stepped forward and handcuffed him.

"You got off easy, you bastard!"

Li Wei slammed the butt of his rifle into the man's face, his anger undiminished.

Klein is causing chaos in Gotham, and this guy is even aiding and abetting evil; he deserves to die.

"Dude, you're a law enforcement officer, you should put this guy on trial."

Batman stopped Levi, saying, "The law will deliver a fair trial. Our mission is to catch them."

"Batman, one day your principles will become your shackles."

Stopped by Batman, Levi was extremely agitated. "Just wait and see, you'll find your persistence is worthless!"

He had just realized that even when facing this group of vicious thugs, Batman was still adhering to his principle of not killing.

In Li Wei's opinion, executing all these guys would be too lenient for them.

"Listen, buddy, I don't want to argue with you about this."

Batman looked at Levi, "There are more important things waiting for us to do; City Hall needs us more!"

When Batman mentioned City Hall, Levi calmed down; now was definitely not the time to argue about these things.

"Anyway, I have to thank you for this."

Li Wei asked, "How's the situation at the city hall? How did you end up here?"

"Dude, we're friends. Friends don't need to say thank you."

Batman said, "Gordon has already gone to City Hall. He's a bit worried about you, so I came to check on you."

As for the situation at the city hall, it's probably not ideal.

As Batman finished speaking, his face became serious again, and his tone grew increasingly somber.

"Where there's a will, there's a way; all problems will be solved."

Li Wei said, "Let's go over there first, and leave this to the police."

Batman nodded and walked toward the Batmobile, while Levi arranged for the officers to take these bastards back.

He had just finished making the arrangements when he noticed He Mang's fierce gaze. Without saying a word, Li Wei kicked the guy in the chin again.

The leather shoes with iron lining made intimate contact with He Mang's chin, and He Mang screamed and fainted.

The officers all turned their heads away in unison, pretending not to see anything.

He Mang's men quickly lowered their heads, as if afraid of being discovered by Li Wei.

Even Batman on the Batmobile quietly raised the glass.

"Batman and I went to support Commissioner Gordon and brought all these guys back to the police station."

After making the arrangements, Li Wei boarded the Batmobile, and with the roar of the engine, the Batmobile sped away.
