No matter what Luo Ke said, and no matter what the doctor asked, she remained unresponsive.

It was as if only a shell remained here, her soul had long wandered off to some unknown place.

"How did this happen?"

Luo Ke stood by the bedside, frowning deeply as he asked.

Clearly, she had woken up, so why did she still seem like she was in a coma?

By the side, another subordinate gently tugged on the arm of the first subordinate and then whispered something in his ear.

Upon hearing it, the subordinate looked as if he had been granted amnesty.

"Sir, perhaps..." He glanced at Luo Ke’s expression, "You could have Dr. Yin come take a look. Isn’t he an expert in this field?"

Dr. Yin?!

Luo Ke hesitated and looked at Luo Xiaoqian, whose eyes were vacant on the pillow, and gritted his teeth. "Bring him here immediately."

"Yes!" The subordinate promptly agreed, leaving and hurrying downstairs.

Moments later, with light footsteps, the subordinate brought in Dr. Yin.

Compared to five years ago, Dr. Yin now clearly appeared more tired and haggard. He had been teaching in Asia when suddenly he was brought here and kept under soft custody by Luo Ke’s men for two or three days. Though they provided good food and drinks, he still had no idea what they intended for him, and without freedom, Dr. Yin felt uneasy in his own skin, with bloodshot eyes and dark circles under them.

Just earlier, he had been preparing to rest when suddenly he was called here, unsure of what the other party wanted, and his heart was full of unrest.

"Please come in." The subordinate gestured to Dr. Yin to enter, and Dr. Yin nodded, walking into the room. The subordinate then went over to Luo Ke’s side. "Sir, Dr. Yin is here."

"Dr. Yin, hello." Luo Ke spoke blandly.

"Hello." Yin Yi replied politely and courteously.

"I’m sorry to disturb your rest so late." Luo Ke slightly turned, exposing Luo Xiaoqian on the pillow. "I assume she isn’t unfamiliar to you?"

Yin Yi glanced toward the bed behind him. When he first entered, he had noticed someone lying on the bed, but Luo Ke happened to block Luo Xiaoqian’s head and face, so he hadn’t seen her clearly. Now, as Luo Ke stepped aside, Yin Yi immediately saw Luo Xiaoqian’s face.

She lay on the pillow, eyes open, with a vacant gaze. Her exquisite face hadn’t changed much since five years ago.
