Chapter 2167 - 62: Be Like a Lighthouse, Illuminating Every Path into the Unknown Night
Chapter 2167 - 62: Be Like a Lighthouse, Illuminating Every Path into the Unknown Night
All those at the Fourth Energy Level have now been knocked down a level — their power has dropped to just one level higher than that of an ordinary Third Energy Level. Apart from the Primal Aether, they can no longer harness greater power.
But as compensation for this calamity, all those at the Fourth Energy Level felt that as the deconstruction and dissipation of the Aether True Body within them occurred, their lifespans were continuously extending, growing, until they surpassed seven hundred, even eight hundred years—numbers they never dared to imagine in the past.
"What’s happening, why is Aether disappearing?!"
"The flow of Aether... it’s going to the sky! Is it the Perpetual Motion Machine? And that silver star..."
"It’s the Silverpeak Seer! He’s back! But what exactly is he planning to do?!"
All eyes, all gazes, all hearts involuntarily lifted, looking towards the empty sky with only the silver star shining.
A rain of light descended from the earth, falling towards the sky, flowing at the top of the empty firmament, finally seeping into the void of the universe. In the surging stream of aether, scattered starlight flickered, its brilliance like ashes in a hot flame, like the splendid star sea of the Milky Way from millennia ago.
The entire planet’s aether transformed into pure white veins, a perfectly structured foundation, with thick aether lightning ascending towards the sky outside, like blazing white blades painting ionized traces in space.
This resembled a towering structure, an Aether Tower forged with the entire planet as its base, and at the top of this tower extending over 140,000 kilometers, was that silver star.
That which had determined all truths and realities, hence was preparing to set sail — the Pioneer.
Although the reasons and origins were unclear, it was undoubtedly Ian Silverpeak who caused all of this!
However, despite knowing the answer was thus, no one wanted to resist or oppose it — all those beneath the Fifth Energy Level were now stripped of the power to resist or perhaps it should be said they had been ’defeated’. They no longer had the strength to fight in outer space.
Thus, almost everyone watched the tower and the star with complex emotions.
"Finally, is he going to make his move?"
Change occurred in every corner of the world.
[Ian Silverpeak!]
In Canaan Moore, World Tree City, within the roaring dark clouds, an angry voice echoed between heaven and earth: [Weren’t we allies? What are you planning to do with this?]
No one answered the question of the Eternal Wind, nor could anyone see the silhouette battling with Averlyn Qingye. Within World Tree City, everyone’s fighting spirit saw dazzling, radiant light and roars, even the walls were pierced by that brilliant light, rendering the entire world pale.
And during the battle, as aether was constantly being extracted, even the Fifth Energy Level Eternal Wind had to leave along with the aether stream, heading above the sky.
Under the magnificent light and thunder, the azure wind ascended to the top of the clouds, in the void of the sky, this scene perhaps best defined ’Ascension’.
In the City of Knowledge, a gigantic, rotating Silver Nah Mechanical Body flew out from the Heavenly Metropolis, its core a cluster of iridescent seven-colored halo, resembling an eye with a silver iris and a rainbow pupil.
The Guardian was battling with some existence, streaks of cyan-blue lightning, scarlet-gold rays, and dense, invisible space-time lashes beating against matter, bursting forth streams of light surpassing the sun’s brilliance in the air.
Yet contrasting this was the backdrop — most of the floating islands in the Heavenly Metropolis were slowly descending, having lost aetheric support, even with the support of Cloudscape and the Silver Sky Gateway, the Heavenly Metropolis could not sustain such a vast number of floating islands, only the core part could hang in the sky.
The Grand Guardian spoke no words, but it was constantly transforming, seemingly adapting to the current environment, but this was ultimately futile, because any existence reaching the Fifth Energy Level could hardly live in a space-time without aether, and even if they could survive, it would have to be by cutting away a significant portion of its functions.
Thus ultimately, it also had to fly to the sky, following the direction of the aether flow, heading toward the tower standing outside the heavens.
In Yanjiang, two beams of light rapidly reversed in the sky, seemingly trying to encircle an illusory shadow, but they could never succeed, even leaving behind afterimages from the two Fifth Energy Levels which sketched a complex geometric matrix in the sky.
At Nine Cold Quiet Mountains, peaks and massive rocks were being tossed, violently tumbling and quaking within the mountains, causing earthquakes capable of destroying everything.
At Far Sword Port, a grand tsunami erupted, and though the defense shields of Far Sword Port could block the tsunami, everyone was astonished, looking towards the depths of the ocean — there, a dark, swift shadow seemed to be dueling with a giant beast. In the end, a majestic and beautiful Crystal Dragon soared from the ocean, heading toward the firmament.
And more, many more.
Almost all at the Fifth Energy Level had to leave Terra, heading to outer space. Dozens of different, either majestic, thin, as towering as mountains, or as vast as oceans auras stepped out from their dwellings in the mortal world, then embarked toward the distant places they knew of, but never cared about.
Azure Sky Royal Court.
There was no incarnation of Ian descending here, battling with Gonta Ximor, consuming this Fifth Energy Level’s aether, forcing him towards the starry sky, ’ascending’ beyond the sky, departing from the star that has borne too much pain, Terra.
